Hanstar delivers high-pressure die casting for aluminum, zinc and magnesium alloys — from in-house die design and prototyping to high-volume production, CNC post-machining and surface finishing. One partner for the entire metal-part program, from the first casting to a finished, ready-to-assemble part.
Cold-chamber machines produce aluminum and magnesium castings; hot-chamber machines run zinc — across a machine range from 100T to 2000T. Dies are engineered for fill, cooling and ejection so parts come out consistent across the whole run, and critical dimensions are verified by CMM inspection before every delivery.

What alloys can you die cast?
Aluminum (A380/ADC12, A356, A383, AlSi10Mg), zinc (Zamak 3, Zamak 5, ZA-8) and magnesium (AZ91D, AM60). Tell us your application and we’ll recommend the right grade for strength, weight, conductivity and finish requirements.
What size parts can you die cast?
We operate machines from 100T to 2000T, casting parts up to 20 kg with molds up to 30 tons — from precision small components to large housings and structural parts.
What tolerances can you hold on die cast parts?
Cast dimensions are typically ±0.1 mm, with critical features held to ±0.05 mm. CNC-machined features after casting hold ±0.01 mm, depending on geometry and alloy.
Do you design and build the die in-house?
Yes. Dies are designed in-house by our engineers and reviewed for fill, cooling and ejection before manufacturing, so tooling and casting are handled by one accountable partner.
What is your typical lead time for dies and for production?
Die tooling typically takes 4–6 weeks, and production lead time is 2–4 weeks depending on part complexity and quantity. Rush schedules can be accommodated on request.
Do you offer post-casting CNC machining?
Yes. Threads, bores, ports and critical sealing faces are CNC machined after casting so parts arrive ready for assembly — drilled, tapped, machined and deburred exactly to print.
Can you handle both prototyping and volume production?
Yes. From first-article castings to validate design and assembly, to high-volume production programs — the same die quality, process control and inspection standard applies.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide. Common terms include EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP depending on your requirements.
