What the certificates mean in practice

A certificate is a system, not a guarantee. This is how the system runs on the shop floor at Hanstar.

Material traceability

Incoming material is checked against applicable specifications and project requirements, with mill certificates reviewed where required. Traceability is retained from stock to finished part.

In-process control

First-article inspection, in-process checks and final inspection are defined per drawing and inspection plan, not applied uniformly to every feature.

Dimensional verification

Critical features are verified on ZEISS CMMs and Hexagon Absolute Arm systems. Capability for tolerances down to 0.002 mm depends on part geometry and measurement conditions.
